| Here Come the PONIES St. Gertrude Bulldogs football is pleased to add a 3rd-4th grade (Pony) team to our program. This team will provide our football program with a new foundation, similar to many other CYO league schools, where we can begin teaching plays and fundamentals in the 3rd and 4th grade, leading to more competitive reserve (5th-6th) and varsity (7th-8th) squads. Our ponies will be wearing royal blue uniforms with gold lettering and gold helmets. They will be coached by veteran Madeira Colts coach, Mike O'Connor. All three teams have begun practice and we will open our CYO season August 24th. Please join coaches Chuck Schlie (varsity), Mike Meyer (reserve) and Mike O'Connor (pony) in cheering on our Bulldog football squads this year!!
